HOW TO VIEW DONE ACTIVITY REPORTS ON SMARTCASE

  • Click the “Reports” module on the home page at the side bar then click done activities. Within the done activities page there are search filters to help you get the information you require on your report;

  • Search- this is a general search filter for particular files with their done activity titles and their description.

  • File – Select a specific file in the drop down to view all done activities under it. To limit results, select the date range to view only done activities bounded by the range.

  • done by- Select to display only upcoming activities under a specific responsible employee in the drop down.

  • from, to – modify the date range to capture only done activities whose dates fall within the period selected.

  • Status – select a specific status in the drop down to view only done activities under that specific status, grouping results from the latest to the oldest.

  • Client – Choose a specific client in the drop down and click search, this will ensure that only done activities under that client’s matters will display on your report.

  • Practice area- search or select a specific practice area in the drop down to view done activities under it.  Do note that if you select to report on a Practice Area, that all done activities you wish to display will have to have the Practice Area assigned to it.

  • Billable status – if you want to view only billable activities, check the “billable” box. If you want to view only non-billable activities check the “non-billable” box and if you want to view all, check the “all” box.

NB: Below the search filters shows the total numbers of hours spent on all the done activities. This report can also be generated in a CSV format using the “export to excel” button if you wish to further manipulate your report.
